What is Killing People Who Live in Harlem?

While health and social service organizations, such as Mount Sinai Health System, would have you believe that drug addiction is killing residents of Harlem and East Harlem, nothing could be further from the truth.

Data gathered by the NYC Dept of Health Community Health Profiles, 2015 shows us that more typical health issues, such as heart disease, and cancer are the leading cause of death in our community.

Facilities that help address these health issues are what Harlem and East Harlem need the most.
